This is a great little hand warmer that works perfectly for warming your hands on any kind of outfit, and I would say it's a reasonable value for under $40. However, if your external waist size is over about 31 inches with all your clothes and layers on, you won't really be able to use this as designed. This hand warming harness is something you might not have considered, but it's quite a nifty idea, giving you the ability to add a hand-warming pocket onto almost literally any outfit seamlessly. As long as you have the space above your waist on your front free, you can strap this around your waist. It's attachable to MOLLE straps as well, with a few different strap sets on the back and top of it, as well as a compliant strap on top. The inside of it is filled with lambswool supported by a blend of resin and cotton, which makes it both very soft and very warm, and the outside is a 3-layer brushed tricot polyester. It's water resistant on the outside, resists gusts of wind, and easily cinches shut on both sides so you can adjust the openings to your own liking to minimize heat loss. There's a little zippered compartment on the front that's perfect for small items like a wallet, lighter, phone, or anything about that size. It's about as thick as a coat, making it great for keeping your fingers warm, especially if you put in a little reusable hand warmer of your own. As for downsides, there's one significant issue if you're a large and tall (or perhaps just large) person - the waist strap is only adjustable up to a bit under 32 inches. To add to that issue, the waist belt looks like it was meant to be possible to move up and use as a neck strap, but as it is, it's only removable on one side - so you'd have to cut it permanently to move it somewhere else. Those don't cause a problem if you're a small person or have something else to attach it to (as well as your own straps), but for a lot of people, it's just not going to fit the way it comes, and you'd have to attach it to MOLLE straps on your chest gear to keep it on. Durability will be tested long-term and as always I will update if I encounter any issues, but based on the quality of the material I can feel, the thickness, durable stitching, and stress testing of the zippers and reinforced seams, I would say this should last quite a while. * I only review things that I personally use myself and keep using often. * I always give my full, honest, unbiased and unfiltered opinion on everything I review. * I will not hold back or avoid describing any issues I have with a product. * I write exactly what I think about things - the good, the bad, and everything in between. * If I get multiple of something it's because I regularly use and need both of them. * And, I will update my review if something breaks, stops working as intended, or otherwise doesn't hold up as expected.
